3Z4EME activity concluded - individual skeds still available

Planned 3Z4EME activities have been concluded with 357 QSOs and slightly over 300 different stations worked on 144MHz EME during recent ARRL and ARI EME contests.

There are no plans for more activities of this special Copernicus callsign.

Still - since the licence is valid until October 2014, I will be happy to run individual skeds with these EME'rs who still miss 3Z4EME in their logs, both on JT65 and CW.

In case you are interested, please send me an email to my address specified at QRZ.com

Thank you for all the fun

Summary of 3Z4EME ARI EME Contest activity

As previously announced, the 3Z4EME S.E.S. has been activated in the framework of 2014 ARI EME New Modes Contest ( 12 - 13 April 2014 ).

This was serious fun activity rather than serious competition - and a great fun it was !!!

The S.E.S. was active for approximately 2/3 of total contest time and worked a total of 101 EME stations on 144MHz in JT65 mode.

The log has been already uploaded both into LoTW and eQSL. Special 3Z4EME Copernicus Station QSLs are of course available via SP4KM ( bureau and direct )

Log has been also already sent to ARI Contest organizers - to make sure your Contest run and/or fun was not wasted.

Thank you all for QSOs - it has been a great deal of fun !

3Z4EME active in ARI EME ( Digital ) Contest - 12 and 13 April

3Z4EME will be activated in the framework of ARI EME Contest ( New Modes = JT65 ) on 12th and 13th April 2014.

This will be 'relaxed' activation, that is not really competing in the Contest while giving out points and S.E.S. callsign to anyone interested. A log will be forwarded to ARI as appropriate to make sure your effort & QSO points are not wasted.

I will be at N0UK EME Chat when active as 3Z4EME - feel free to ask for sked at any time.

Logs will be uploaded to LoTW and eQSL promptly, please also check special QSL card that is available both direct via SP4KM and through bureau.

Card design can be checked here: http://3z4eme.blogspot.com/2013/10/3z4eme-qsl-card-design.html

Have EME contest fun !

3Z4EME Wins ARRL EME 2013 - 144 MHz Single Op, All Mode

The ARRL have published results of 2013 ARRL EME Contest.

For details check: http://www.arrl.org/files/file/ContestResults/2013/2013%20EME%20Contest%20-%20Web%20-%20Version%201_01.pdf

I am really proud to be the winner of the most competitive band category with the 3Z4EME callsign, establishing also the best ever score of 1.815.000 points for single operator entry on 144 MHz in ARRL EME Contest.

This undoubtedly proves that ordinary 4 yagi station running modest power can effectively compete in the contest with much bigger arrays - all you need is reasonable planning and utilization of available resources, persistence and lots of luck ;-)

I'd like to dedicate this success to my father, Waldemar SP4KM, who is professional engineering force behind our family EME station. It wouldn't be possible without you !

eQSL mistake - corrected now, upload of full log with 3Z4EME account

There has been an unintentional mistake made by uploading 3Z4EME QSOs into my primary call SP4K eQSL account.

This has been corrected now, full log is correctly uploaded into eQSL with 3Z4EME callsign as of now.

Sorry for trouble.
